Automation Services

Stop your team from doing work AI can do.

Identify the repetitive workflows. Automate them. Free your people for the work that matters. Each automation has named owners, measurable time savings, and ongoing maintenance.

What Are AI Automation Services?

AI automation services use artificial intelligence and workflow orchestration to take repetitive, judgment-assisted work off employees' plates. Common examples include automated document processing, RFI auto-routing, invoice classification, meeting summarization, custom AI agents for specific decisions, and integrations between line-of-business systems. Each automation has named owners, measurable time savings, and ongoing maintenance.

Workflow automation across business processes.

Specific automated processes that ship and run. Not "we'll think about AI together." Not "here's a roadmap." Working automations that take repeat work off your team's plate, with measurable time savings per week.

Most teams have ten to twenty workflows that are obvious automation candidates. Invoice processing. Email triage. Report generation. Document review. Onboarding paperwork. Vendor intake. Project status rollups. We find them, score them, build the highest-value ones, and maintain them.

Where we look first.

Tasks-out, tools-in. The questions every operator can answer.

Where does work get bottlenecked?

Approvals, hand-offs, document reviews, system-to-system data entry. The places where work waits for a human and the human is doing pattern-matching the AI can do.

What tasks repeat across the team?

Onboarding emails. Status reports. Reconciliation work. Any task where five people do roughly the same thing with slightly different inputs is automation candidate one.

Where do mistakes happen most?

Manual data entry. Missed steps in checklists. Forgotten follow-ups. Errors compound. Automation removes the failure modes humans hit when they're tired, distracted, or moving fast.

What we build.

Concrete deliverables. Not slides.

Rewst-orchestrated workflows

Multi-system automations across HaloPSA, Microsoft 365, security tools, and your line-of-business systems. Triggered by events, scheduled, or user-initiated. Logged, monitored, and version-controlled.

AI agents for specific decision points

Custom GPTs and Copilot agents that handle judgment-assisted work: classifying tickets, summarizing calls, scoring opportunities, drafting responses. Trained on your data, deployed with governance.

System integrations

Stop the copy-paste between your CRM, ERP, accounting, project tools, and document management. Webhook-driven and API-driven integrations that move data once and keep systems in sync.

AI-augmented internal tools

Lightweight internal apps that wrap AI around a focused workflow: bid takeoff helpers, RFI summarizers, intake forms with smart routing, knowledge-base search. Built to fit your team, not configured from a generic platform.

Automation Module

Add-on module under your Managed AI Agreement. Continuous build-and-maintain cadence. New automations every quarter. Maintenance and updates included.

  • Continuous workflow build cadence
  • Ongoing maintenance and updates
  • Quarterly automation review

Per-quote engagements when scope is large or timeline is fixed. Migration-driven automation, single high-value workflow builds, or AI agent development for a specific decision point.

  • Defined scope and milestones
  • Per-quote pricing

Where automation pays first in your industry.

Mining

MSHA training-record summarization. Auto-extract certifications, expiration dates, and compliance gaps from training documentation.

Safety-procedure audit workflows. Automated review of incident reports for procedural deviations and recurring root causes.

Construction

RFI auto-routing. Classify and route RFIs to the right architect, engineer, or subcontractor based on content.

Submittal review. Compare submittals against spec sections and flag deviations.

Change-order tracking. Auto-generate change orders from approved emails and update project records.

Healthcare

Patient intake processing that respects PHI scope. Form-data extraction with explicit PHI handling controls.

Insurance verification workflows. Multi-system check-and-confirm without copying PHI between portals.

Why Unió Digital builds automation that ships.

Regulatory perimeter respected on day one

Automations that touch healthcare, financial, or contract data ship with explicit data-handling controls, audit logging, and scope documentation. Built so the work survives auditor or insurance scrutiny.

Existing stack, day-one productive

Rewst, HaloPSA, Microsoft 365, Huntress, ConnectSecure, Cisco Umbrella all in stack. We're not learning the tools as we build. The first automation can ship in week one.

Vertical depth informs the build

We know what an MSHA training record looks like. We know what an RFI is. We know HIPAA scope. The automation we build fits your operational reality, not a generic process template.

Automation Services: FAQs.

How quickly do automations pay back the build cost?

Most workflows we build pay back the build cost in 60 to 120 days based on time savings alone. The Tasks Automation Audit (part of the free assessment) produces an ROI estimate per workflow before we commit to any build, so the math is on the table from day one.

What happens when our processes change?

Automations are version-controlled, documented, and updated as part of the recurring module. Process changes trigger a review of affected automations, and updates ship in the next maintenance window. For larger process changes (like a system migration), we scope a refresh in advance.

Are these automations dependent on Unió for ongoing maintenance?

If we built it under the recurring module, yes by design (that's what the recurring module covers). For Custom Project work, you can choose to bring it in-house if you have the technical capability. We document everything and hand off the source. Most clients find ongoing module pricing is cheaper than maintaining the work in-house.

Do you build on Power Automate or another platform?

Rewst is our primary orchestration layer because it integrates with the broader MSP stack we run (HaloPSA, Microsoft Graph, Immy.bot, Huntress, ConnectSecure). Power Automate is in the toolkit for client-side and Microsoft 365-native automations, especially with AI Builder for document processing. We pick the tool that fits the workflow, not the other way around.

Can you build automations that touch sensitive data (PHI, financial, contract)?

Yes. Sensitive-data automations ship with explicit data-handling controls, audit logging, scope documentation, and (for HIPAA-covered work) BAAs with the underlying tooling vendors. The build process treats the regulatory perimeter as a first-class design concern, not an afterthought.

What's the difference between Automation Services and Microsoft Copilot deployment?

Microsoft Copilot is one tool we deploy under the broader Automation Services umbrella when the use case fits. Copilot is great for in-app productivity (writing in Word, analyzing in Excel, summarizing in Teams). Automation Services covers the wider scope: cross-system workflows, custom AI agents for specific decisions, integrations between line-of-business tools. Most engagements use both.

Do we need to be a Managed IT client to engage Automation Services?

No, but it's the cleanest path. As a Managed IT client, your environment is already documented, secured, and monitored, which removes the ramp-up time on automation builds. New clients can engage Automation Services standalone; we just spend the first week or two establishing the integration baseline.
