You will serve as the primary client and project interface, align contractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams, and keep simultaneous projects on scope, schedule, and budget. This role suits an experienced project manager or a project coordinator ready to take full ownership of delivery in a small, hands-on team.
What you'll do
- Own the full project lifecycle for structured cabling, physical security, IT onboarding, and IT maintenance projects, from planning through closeout
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, deadlines, communication plans, and resource assignments
- Serve as the primary project interface for clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Lead project kickoffs, Tucson-area site meetings, feasibility surveys, progress reviews, and closeout walkthroughs
- Manage scope, risks, change orders, delivery issues, client acceptance, disputes, and release of project resources
- Address project and technical questions promptly, resolving them directly or escalating them to the appropriate technical lead
- Coordinate with procurement so materials arrive on time, meet project requirements, and remain within budget
- Partner with finance to track project costs, forecast financial performance, and report project profitability
- Maintain complete project records, including contracts, invoices, change orders, drawings, as-builts, test reports, and checklists
- Provide regular project-status, risk, budget, and profitability reporting to the leadership team
- Maintain client and process documentation and improve delivery practices based on project outcomes
- Conduct post-project evaluations and turn lessons learned into specific improvements for future work
What we're looking for
- Proven experience managing projects or coordinating complex projects with growing ownership
- Strong leadership and the ability to align client, contractor, supplier, and internal-team objectives
- PMP certification or demonstrated command of formal project management principles
- Ability to manage several active projects and competing priorities without losing detail
- Client-oriented judgment, clear problem-solving, and a commitment to high-quality service
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and project-documentation skills
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
- Experience in structured cabling, physical security, IT, telecommunications, or commercial construction is preferred, not required
- Eligible to work in the U.S., based in or relocating to Tucson, and able to meet the published travel requirements
